World Sport for All welcomes the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport as a new Associate Member

World Sport for All is pleased to welcome the National University of Ukraine on Physical Education and Sport (NUUPES) as a new Associate Member.

Based in Kyiv, NUUPES is a state-owned higher education institution with a history dating back to 1930. It has developed into a leading Ukrainian centre for education, research and professional training in sport and physical education.

The University says it has trained more than 40,000 specialists, including coaches, physical education teachers, rehabilitation professionals, sport managers, and fitness and recreation experts. It currently serves more than 5,000 students and has over 430 academic and research staff.

NUUPES combines academic education and sports science with practical work to promote physical activity, health and rehabilitation. Its programmes and research span areas including sport, physical education, therapy and rehabilitation, recreation, and sport management. The University also reports extensive international cooperation, with more than 50 agreements with foreign partners and participation in Erasmus+ and other international projects.

The University’s expertise and commitment to education, research and wider participation in physical activity make it a valuable addition to the World Sport for All network. Its membership creates new opportunities to share knowledge, strengthen international cooperation and advance sport and physical activity for people and communities.
