The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) has announced the acceptance of the Romanian Sport for All Federation (FRSPT) as a new National Member, pending formal ratification at the next FISpT Annual General Assembly. The admission of FRSPT marks another important step in strengthening the international Sport for All movement and expanding cooperation across Europe through shared values of health, inclusion, lifelong participation in physical activity and community development.

FRSPT joins FISpT with the official endorsement of the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee, the recognized National Olympic Committee of Romania, reflecting the Federation's commitment to promoting Olympic values through Sport for All and its contribution to accessible, inclusive physical activity nationwide.
FRSPT is Romania's national organization for Sport for All and active lifestyles. Through a nationwide network of 25 County Sport for All Associations, the Federation coordinates and supports programmes encouraging participation in physical activity for people of all ages and abilities, in close collaboration with local authorities, educational institutions, sports clubs and community organizations across the country.
In 2026, FRSPT coordinates a National Calendar of 239 Sport for All activities, including community sport festivals, recreational competitions, dance and movement programmes, family activities, initiatives for children and young people, programmes for older adults and persons with disabilities, health-enhancing physical activity campaigns, and numerous events held as part of the European Week of Sport (#BeActive).
The Federation is actively engaged in European cooperation through Erasmus+ Sport projects, including Break for Health (B4H) and Bike & Music, advancing healthy lifestyles, active mobility, social inclusion, youth participation and the exchange of good practices among European partners.
Beyond its national activity, FRSPT takes part in international Sport for All initiatives, conferences and educational programmes, strengthening cooperation with organizations dedicated to physical activity, health and social inclusion.

Marco Tomasini, CEO and General Secretary of FISpT, commented:
“We are delighted to welcome the Romanian Sport for All Federation into the FISpT family. Its endorsement by the Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee is an important sign of credibility and institutional value. We look forward to working together to strengthen Sport for All across Romania and internationally, and we will be pleased to present this membership for formal ratification at our next Annual General Assembly.”

“Joining the International Sport for All Federation represents an important milestone for our Federation and for the continued development of the Sport for All movement in Romania. We are honoured to become part of this international community and look forward to sharing our experience, learning from fellow members and building new partnerships that promote health, inclusion and lifelong participation in physical activity. We firmly believe that Sport for All has the power to improve lives, strengthen communities and create opportunities for everyone, regardless of age or ability.” stated Natalia Iavin, Secretary General, Romanian Sport for All Federation (FRSPT).
By joining FISpT, FRSPT reaffirms its commitment to international cooperation, innovation and the exchange of good practices, while continuing to develop programmes that make physical activity more accessible to communities throughout Romania.
