FISpT Welcomes IFBB as New Committee Member

The International Sport for All Federation (FISpT) today announced the acceptance of the International Fitness and Bodybuilding Federation (IFBB) as a new Committee Member, marking a significant step in broadening its global network of inclusive sport disciplines.

The IFBB, founded in 1946 in Montreal and headquartered in Las Rozas de Madrid, is the worldwide governing body for bodybuilding and fitness, overseeing major international events including World and Continental Championships. Its integration into FISpT reinforces the federation’s commitment to promoting accessible, participatory sport practices that engage diverse communities across all ages and abilities.

 IFBB’s membership as a Committee Member aligns closely with FISpT’s mission to foster “Sport for All” through disciplines that combine physical activity, social inclusion, and personal development. Bodybuilding and fitness, when practiced in an inclusive and regulated environment, offer powerful tools for health promotion, community building, and lifelong engagement in sport.

Through this new partnership, IFBB will contribute to FISpT’s strategic objectives in:

• Expanding the range of recognized sport disciplines within the “Sport for All” framework

• Developing joint initiatives for athlete development, coach education, and grassroots programs

• Supporting international events that emphasize participation, inclusivity, and fair competition

• Strengthening cooperation with national federations, public institutions, and international bodies
